Monash Arts offers a Master of Arts by research degree with a range of topic areas to choose from, allowing you to undertake substantial independent research while supported by expert academic supervisors.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate a capacity to carry out independent research and have adequate training and ability to pursue the proposed course of study.
We offer supervision across seven graduate research programs: - Film, Media, Communications & Journalism - Historical Studies, including History, Religious Studies, Jewish Studies and Indigenous Studies - Linguistics & Applied Linguistics - Literary & Cultural Studies, including Creative Writing, Languages and World Literature, Translation and Interpreting Studies - Philosophy, including Bioethics - Social & Political Sciences, including Anthropology, Criminology, Human Geography, Politics & International Relations, Sociology Gender Studies - Theatre, Performance & Music Non-traditional research outputs can also be pursued in specialisations in creative writing, music and theatre performance.
