The Master of Arts (Research Training) provides students with the opportunity for more specialized, in-depth research training in a humanities or social sciences discipline or on an interdisciplinary topic.
To meet the admissions requirements for the Master of Arts Research Training, applicants must provide evidence of the following: 1. A 3-year Bachelor's degree completed at Monash University (within two years of graduation) with 75 WAM and 75+ in the Level 3 research capstone; or 1.2. An Australian Bachelor Honours degree with Upper Second-Class Honours or equivalent; or 1.3. A combination of qualifications, research publications and/or at least two years of documented professional experience related to the field of study that may be assessed as equivalent to 1.2; or 1.4. A degree with a significant research/thesis component with Upper Second-Class or equivalent. 2. Research proposal
We offer supervision across our five graduate research programs: Film, Media, Communications & Journalism Philosophy, including Bioethics, Historical Studies, including Archaeology, Ancient History, History, Religious Studies, Jewish Studies, and Indigenous Studies Languages, Literatures, Cultures and Linguistics, including Jewish Cultural Practices, Creative Writing, Translation and Interpreting Studies Social Sciences, including Anthropology, Criminology, Human Geography, Politics & International Relations, Sociology and Gender Studies Music and Theatre Performance Non-traditional research outputs can also be pursued in specialisations in creative writing, music and theatre performance.
