Develop emotional intelligence and resilience as a leader in aged care. This two-hour interactive workshop equips emerging and seasoned leaders with practical tools to manage emotions, build trust, and inspire their teams in complex workplace environments.
This program is designed for current and aspiring leaders at level 2 (mid-level managers responsible for multiple teams) and level 3 (front-line managers responsible for team activities) within aged care organisations. Level 1 leaders may also find this a valuable refresher. Participants should have some leadership experience or aspiration to lead. No specific technical prerequisites are required. Participants must access the training on individual devices.
Module 2 covers emotional intelligence and leadership resilience through practical skill development. Topics include: developing self-awareness and enriching relationships through honest, respectful discussion; approaching sensitive issues with confidence and skill; providing effective encouragement for action and change; using questions, silence and active listening to stimulate insights; fostering trust, transparency and resilient culture; recognising and managing emotional influences in behaviour; responding calmly in emotionally charged circumstances; and cultivating authentic leadership with balanced empathy and assertiveness. Participants receive a toolkit of supporting materials and resources for ongoing personal reflection and development.
