Core curriculum covers 24 mandatory units including: business risk management and WHS risk leadership; building codes and standards for various construction classes; contract selection and administration; cost estimation and labour/material scheduling; site communication and supervision; legal requirements and structural principles; plan interpretation and tender documentation; site surveys and set-out procedures; contractor selection and management; environmental management; financial management; and professional technical reporting. Three elective units allow specialization in areas such as project quality management and stakeholder engagement.
