Master Building Information Modeling (BIM) and 3D design using Revit in this practical evening course. Ideal for building design, architectural, and engineering professionals seeking to upskill in modern digital design workflows and integrated project delivery.
Participants should be existing or prospective employees in building design, architectural, or engineering fields. You'll need a PC with Intel Core i5 equivalent processor or better, Windows 11, a broadband internet connection (20Mbps or faster), webcam, microphone, and headphones. Mac users must install Bootcamp and Windows prior to class commencement. Basic computer literacy is recommended.
The course covers Building Information Management (BIM) principles and 3D modelling techniques using Revit software. Key topics include: production of documentation from 3D models, systems and workflows for integrated project delivery, multi-disciplinary integrated project delivery, creating and presenting 3D models of small-scale building designs, and developing and collaborating on building information models. Students work with real-world building design scenarios and learn industry-standard practices.
