Applicants must meet at least one of the following entry requirements: minimum three years' full-time professional work experience in any field, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Note: Applicants who completed a Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Science within the last 3 years from the course commencement date are not eligible. Some knowledge of databases and basic programming knowledge would be beneficial. The course comprises 4 core topics: Database Modelling and Information Management covering data structure and management principles; Engineering Programming providing foundational coding skills; Data Engineering focusing on data pipeline development and processing; and Data Science exploring statistical analysis and machine learning techniques. Students gain practical experience with industry-standard tools including MySQL, NoSQL, Datagrip, Power BI, Amazon Web Services, and IntelliJ software.
