What you'll need to get in

Entry requirements are flexible with multiple pathways available. You can enter with an ATAR of 70 or equivalent, successful completion of one full-time semester of undergraduate study at an Australian university, completion of an AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma, or by completing the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT). If you don't meet standard entry requirements, you can start with an undergraduate certificate and gain credit toward the degree. English language proficiency is required and can be demonstrated through ATAR English results, prior university study, or completion of degree-level subjects through Open Universities Australia.

Subject breakdown

The degree comprises 24 subjects total, including core subjects in Sustainability Communication and Action and Culture to Cultures. Students complete ten Fine Art major subjects across Levels 1, 2, and 3, covering areas such as Fine Art Studio Materials, Fine Art Studio Methods, and advanced studio practice. The curriculum includes twelve elective subjects that can be selected from Fine Art/Visual Culture offerings or any other undergraduate level subjects. Level 1 includes foundational studio and theoretical work, while Levels 2 and 3 develop advanced creative production, critical evaluation of visual culture, and professional practice skills. Students engage with contemporary art technologies, visual research methodologies, and develop a critically reflective studio practice.
