Maintenance Wilpinjong are in the middle of an exciting phase as we strive for operational excellence. We have a current decade long mine life in the 2030s and have a collaboration of teammates looking to extend that to the 2040s. Our rosters allow for people to be present in the lives of their family and / or the surrounding community. Located 58 kilometres northeast of the country charm of historical Mudgee, the mine produces high quality thermal coal for both the export and domestic markets. We are now looking for electricians able to problem solve, troubleshoot and fault diagnosis of equipment both in the workshop and in the field, maintain safe working conditions and adhere to work health and safety standards and able to provide records of repairs, servicing and defects in a timely manner. The Role: We require an electrician with experience on mobile fleet maintenance to undertake inspection, diagnostic, fault finding and defect elimination of equipment and electrical infrastructure including CATs 789, 793, 785 and some electric Terex MT400 trucks, CAT 16M & 14M graders, CAT D10 and D11 dozers and Liebherr 9350, 9400 and CAT 6060 excavators. As well, as an electrician, you will undertake diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine servicing of equipment and plant, performing scheduled maintenance, statutory testing, and electrical installations. We also love to learn from within, and want people who love providing assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategies. It is essential that you have a proficiency certificate in an electrical trade or equivalent qualification with previous experience working as an electrician on heavy earth moving equipment.
