Experience at a construction company is preferred, or experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities of the Labourer/Cadet will include but are not limited to the following:
- General labour tasks on the construction site
- Provide support to the Project Management, Administrative Team and Director.
- General errands & housekeeping
- Filing documents
- Moving materials on the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.
- Attending site as required to gain experience and take instruction from site staff
- Enforcing OHS/Safety regulations on site.
- Operating equipment (power tools) when asked.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for the role as a Labourer/Cadet you will require:
- Good Communication skills
- Must have exceptional organisational skills and be able to program work and events a week in advance
- A minimum of intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel
- Ability to prioritise work tasks
- The enthusiasm to learn and adapt to company procedures
- Good knowledge of power tools (not scared to use power tools)
- Have a minimum of 1 year onsite labouring experience or similar within the construction industry
- Must have a drivers licence and own vehicle
- Currently studying or completed at Tafe or Uni either a building related course i.e Degree Construction Management, Diploma of Building etc.
- Must have a white card
- Must be able to drive work truck (car license)
